Today, I had the privilege of receiving an award and recognition from Ishkama Global Change. The certificate was presented to women across different fields in honour of exceptional achievements, inspiring leadership, and meaningful contributions within their professions.
Moments like this remind us how powerful it is to celebrate one another.
When we acknowledge the work of others, we strengthen the values of empowerment, resilience, and excellence.

π§ Health Nugget
Todayβs reminder is simple but powerful: Look after your muscle mass.
Strength training is important for everyone, but it becomes particularly important for women after menopause.
When oestrogen levels fall, it can directly affect muscle mass and bone density. This is one of the reasons why maintaining strength training as we age becomes even more important for long-term health.
As both a GP and a patient, I think about my long-term health every single time I train.
For me, exercise helps me to:
π§ Protect my mental health
β‘ Maintain energy and that feel-good factor
𦴠Strengthen my bones and muscles for the years ahead
But the most practical tip I can give you today is this:
π― Time-block your workouts.
π If itβs in your calendar, it is far more likely to happen.β

And your future bones and muscles will thank you for it.
